Screening for Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts submitted to VIGILANTIA undergo plagiarism and text-similarity screening before entering the peer-review process.
The journal may use appropriate plagiarism-detection and text-similarity software to identify:
- Plagiarism
- Excessive text similarity
- Duplicate or redundant publication
- Inappropriate reuse of text
- Unacknowledged use of previously published material
Authors are responsible for properly citing and acknowledging all sources used in their manuscripts. Quotations, paraphrased materials, and previously published content must be appropriately attributed to the original source.
Manuscripts found to contain substantial plagiarism or other forms of unethical text reuse may be rejected without proceeding to peer review.
Any suspected case of publication misconduct will be investigated by the editorial team and handled in accordance with applicable publication ethics principles and established scholarly standards.
